Precision Skin® is a lab-to-door, freshly made on demand, bespoke cosmetic skincare product line by DermConcept. Using cutting-edge AI deep learning algorithms and anti-ageing and functional medicine expertise, each formulation is engineered according to each customer's real-time skin analysis, lifestyle & daily routines, skin goals, local environment and weather conditions.

DermConcept came to us with the need to build a not-so-conventional customized e-shop for their Precision Skin® bespoke skincare product line. Customers would need to log in, do a SKIN ID test via webcam or device camera involving an AI deep-learning algorithm that identifies 14 skin concerns and answer a set of multiple choice questions before placing their order. The challenge was firstly to integrate the AI into the ordering workflow without delaying or disrupting the checkout journey and secondly storing the imagery and algorithm results according to the appropriate laws and regulations until they are sent to the cosmetic laboratory for analysis and the formulation of the personalized skincare product. We were successful in both and delivered a streamlined customer journey from initial user engagement up until their payment and order confirmation.

In addition, the new Precision Skin® e-shop allows for the registration of professionals so that they can guide their patients through the SKIN ID test and order the products without having to checkout every time, as well as all the usual e-commerce jazz like gift vouchers, upsales, discounts and special offers.
